HAPPY EASTER!

What a great morning we had! The babies really don't know who the heck the Easter Bunny is but they sure do know that they LOVE candy! Especially in the morning. It's the only day that kids should be allowed to SAMPLE the candy when they get up.
We kept the baskets simple with just jelly beans and some M&M's. And Josh is officially too old to get a basket so he got a little gift bag FILLED with gum. He has a thing with gum??The babies liked the jelly beans allot. After they got done playing with the little toys the bunny brought them we had a normal breakfast. I made baked french toast. I have to say it's a really easy breakfast to make because you make it the night before. Just pop it in the oven in the morning and 40 min. later you have yummy french toast. Here's some pics from our morning.

AND THE TREE DRAMA NEVER STOPS!!! I HATE THIS TREE!

And here is that damn tree that is still laying in our yard. We're trying to save some money and do the removal ourselves....well, my husband is doing it. We all just watch! Today my brother in-law came over and helped out. They got most of it chopped up but it's all still there in a million pieces. Hopefully soon the pictures from the back yard will be tree free!

They always look so sweet....but are usually up to no good!!

If a tree falls in the woods.........?

This morning I was in the kitchen making cookies and rolling meatballs when I heard this super loud cracking noise. I looked out the kitchen window and all these branches and pine needles were flying at the window. Right then, a huge pine tree in the back yard cracked right in half and fell towards the house and our fairly new shed! It scared the crap out of me! It's not the first time a big tree has fallen back there but it's the first time it fell at the house. What shocks me is that it didn't hit the shed. It did break a section of fence, the neighbors tree, the neighbors wood pile, and another small tree in our yard. It's just a huge freaking tree! That was our excitement for the day!

Horses and cows and fear....Oh my!!!

So we took the kids out to UCONN to see all the animals. Let me start off by saying that taking all 3 babies out of the car countless times to go into all the barns was NOT fun. But seeing their little faces light up was!

We started out at the cow barn. All was going well with the babies and Josh was even having fun. I was walking with Brett and as soon as he saw one of the cows in that barn he froze! Apparently, Brett is not a fan of large animals! He did look at them but didn't want to go anywhere near them. The girls, as usual, loved it. Emma and Carley were saying cow and mooing like crazy. The girls tend to be braver than Brett with most things. It cracks me up. All in all it was a good trip. Not the most convenient place to take triplets, but it was a fun family day.

Uncle Richard and Auntie Lou stopped over yesterday on the bike to show the kids. Now Brett is right in love with everything that has wheels. His favorite words are "truck", "car", "big truck', and "big cars". Uncle Richard took him out to the bike to see it and even sit on it. He was scared of that too. He can be a very nervous little boy about some things. At least this time his sisters didn't show him up. They were scared of the bike too!

You can't see it in the first picture but Brett is crying. In the second picture however, you can see Brett clinging to Daddy's neck! LOL I love my babies. They all have their own little quirks.

Triplets and a warm sunny day.....Life is great!

We've been pretty lucky around here I guess as far as the weather goes. My kids have the worst cabin fever! And I have to admit...so does Mommy. So needless to say, we go outside every time the sun is shining. Unfortunately we have really rainy spring seasons here though. So one day it's 65 and sunny, and the next it's 40 and raining. Rain is my enemy at this point. I haven't gotten really good at coming up with things to do in the house with the kids. I should be by now, but i'm not. If we take crayons out, there are 3 little monkeys coloring on everything. If I take the play dough out, they're all eating it. Luckily it's homemade and it can't hurt them but ewww! it must taste like pure salt. I don't know why they like it but they do. So I'm just praying for good weather every night before I go to bed. Here are some pictures from the other day when it was almost 70 degrees out! It was a big tease......but we got the most out of the day!

Oh, and by the way.....Emma doesn't have a black eye in the picture. She actually got stung by a bee right under her eye! Can you believe it? It's only April and bee's already? It must have been a cold confused bee. At least I know that's she's not allergic to bee stings now! And her eye is doing much better. You can't even see the sting anymore.

The letter F........Family

I got this from my cousin Jennifer's blog and she got it from http://thisfamilyof4.blogspot.com/. It's such a great idea. You should go check it out. This week the letter is F.

At the risk of copying Jenn, (sorry) I have to say the letter F stands for family for me too! They are my life! My kids and my Husband mean the world to me. They are my entire world.

Back when Josh was little, I worked full time and we were on our own. He was my family. Once I met my Husband our family grew and changed for the better. Now, once the babies were born, wow....that really changed everything. It changed how I looked at life. My new goal was to be the best Mom and Wife I could be. I didn't have to worry about work anymore (thanks Babe), I could just put all my effort towards my kids.

I actually wanted to have more children because I didn't want Joshua to ever be alone. My Cousin Ricky had a big family and all the kids had each other. I admired that and wanted that for myself growing up. My Husband also has a somewhat large family, so mine grew that way once we got married.

So my Husband and I decided to go for it and have kids. We weren't counting on 3, but thank God for those 3. They have completed our family! And I really have been working on looking at those little moments, those little things that make kids and family all worth it. I'm not going to lie, it's hard sometimes. I tend to get caught up in the day to day. But i'm working on it! And participating in the Alphabitty Moments makes it a whole lot easier! This is a WAY old picture....but I think this is the only one of all of us together. So just imagine 2yr olds sitting on our laps. Hehe!

Haircut!

Ok, I know that Brett's hair has been out of control for a long while. He has more hair than Emma. But my Husband finally took him last night to get it cut! Woo Hoo! No more bangs! LOL. We've had 2 bad haircuts and I was a little worried so I just put it off. You won't believe how a "hairdresser" can hack a poor little boys head! But I finally had to take the chance yesterday and sent the boys off to the barber! We were at the park yesterday and Brett couldn't even see! His hair was in his eyes the whole time. And when the wind blew.....forget it! Either way, here are the before and after pics of my little man.
