Haircut!

Ok, I know that Brett's hair has been out of control for a long while. He has more hair than Emma. But my Husband finally took him last night to get it cut! Woo Hoo! No more bangs! LOL. We've had 2 bad haircuts and I was a little worried so I just put it off. You won't believe how a "hairdresser" can hack a poor little boys head! But I finally had to take the chance yesterday and sent the boys off to the barber! We were at the park yesterday and Brett couldn't even see! His hair was in his eyes the whole time. And when the wind blew.....forget it! Either way, here are the before and after pics of my little man.

My crazy but predictable day!

THE QUESTION IS, "WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK AND WHAT ARE YOUR DUTIES"?

My job is a MOM! It's one, if not the most important job anyone can have! If you ask me.My duties are as follows:
My day starts out at 6:15am. I go directly to the coffee pot. I take a couple of sips then it's off to my 13yr olds room to wake him up. I drink my coffee while returning to wake him up several times. I then get the babies things ready for the day. Cups, breakfast, diapers, etc... I take another few minutes to myself. I then go to the living room and vacuum the floors. I have this thing with dirty carpets. It makes me nuts!!
At 7:45 or so, I go get the triplets up. I can be exhausted, miserable, or just plain pissy and that ALL disappears when I walk into their room and see their faces! There's nothing like hearing three toddlers all yell MOMMY! They are the only ones that will always be happy to see you!
Once they are out of bed, I change all 3 diapers and usually some clothes too. There's also nothing like a baby soaked in pee at 8 in the morning! LOL
I shoo them all over to the table, we have breakfast, Mommy cleans up breakfast off the floor, table, chairs, and the kids. Then we get dressed and have some play time.
Repeat all above at 11:30 for lunch.
12-12:30 is long awaited NAP TIME!!!! Woo Hoo! Two hours of complete silence. I love it.
2:30-3pm naps are over, and it's more diapers and then snack. If it's warm, we go outside. If it's summer we stay outside all day.
My Husband comes home from work at 4:30pm and then it's dinner time.
I feed the family, clean table, chairs, floor, and babies!
Then Daddy has some play time with the kids while I do stuff around the house.
Finally.....Baths, more diapering, then bedtime.
THAT IS MY JOB! SAME THING ALMOST EVERY DAY! (In FULL detail) Hehehe.

Outside Fun!

All the kids love the swing! We had fun just swinging together. Brett's cheeks are chapped....i'm applying lotion 3 times a day. It's not helping too much. There's another reason to be happy that winter is coming to an end!

Spring is here????

It's been a few days....Brett is still sick. He's got the runny/stuffy nose still. He acts fine though. We'll be back to the doctor next week to find out what's going on.

We had a GREAT day here today. It was in the 60's! Woo hoo! I took the kids out this morning for a walk. It was the ONLY time they were quiet all morning. Once it warmed up a bit, I got Daddy and Uncle Glenn to bring out the slide and bikes from the basement. The kids had so much fun. They've had cabin fever something fierce. So has Mommy! So we got to play, ride bikes, and have lunch outside today. We all needed that. It's been a long winter that's for sure.

Ring Around the Rosie!

Craziness at the Skidgel house!

My Husband and i actually had a date night last night. Thanks to Auntie Sticky and Uncle Glenn! We had such a great time. We went out to dinner, watched a movie, and most importantly.....we talked! We never get to do that! LOL.

While we were gone, the kids had a blast! Auntie Mame and Sticky taught the kids how to do "ring around the rosie". They were so cute.

Sickness Update: Brett is doing much better now that he's on antibiotics. Emma on the other hand has a full blown cold now. She's coughing and is feverish. She wanted to eat this morning, but She just felt terrible. She was so torn. LOL. She LOVES her cereal in the morning. She kept looking at the bowl then crying. It was funny.....but not.

Anyway, that's what's going on here. Lots of snots, talking, crying, playing, and Mommy is honestly loving it all!

My poor Bubbers!

I finally decided to take Brett to see the doctor today. A different doctor actually. He's been sick for almost a month. The amount of snot that's coming out of that boy is just not right. Sorry to be gross but it's true. His doctor said not to worry, it's just a cold. So I was letting run it's course and giving him some Tylenol here and there. But this morning he was really cranky and crying for no apparent reason. He also felt like he had a fever. So I ended up bringing him to the doctor on call. She checked him over and when she tried to look in his ears she couldn't see the drum because of the wax. So what I thought was going to be a simple visit turned into me holding my baby down so they could flush his ears out. WOW! That is not something I want to do ever again. It hurt him and he was pissed off! He only weighs 23lbs....but he's strong when he wants to be.

Anyway, they flushed them and cleaned them all out and he does have an ear infection. Not to mention a sinus infection too. My poor little boy. I felt so bad for him. But he'll be on the medicine starting tonight.

Now my Husband is questioning whether we should switch doctors because our didn't catch it. Is it possible to have that much wax build up in just 5 days??? I don't know. Our pediatrician is old. I'm guessing in his 70's. But he's a trusted member of the community and has been a doctor here for as long as I can remember. I'm not sure what we're going to do. He's taken good care of them for the most part since they came home from the hospital. But....he does do the brush off sometimes. It's a hard call. I guess we just need to weigh the pros and cons.

Other than the ear fiasco, we had a pretty quiet day. We'll see what happens when they get up from their nap.

Oh, and by the way....Grammy is coming home next week! We've missed her so much. Especially Ed. He's going to freak out when he see's her. I can't wait. Be on the lookout for pictures of my brothers face on that day!
